Dry cylinder liner is a kind of cylinder liner whose outer wall is not in direct contact with cooling water. It has good strength and rigidity, but the inner and outer surfaces must be finished, the process is complicated, the heat dissipation is poor, and the disassembly and assembly are inconvenient.
The characteristic of dry cylinder liner is that the outer wall is not in direct contact with the cooling water, and the wall thickness is generally 1-3mm. In order to obtain enough actual contact area with the cylinder block and ensure the heat dissipation and positioning of the cylinder liner, the outer wall of the cylinder liner and the inner wall of the cylinder block bearing hole have a certain machining accuracy, and the two generally use an interference fit. The advantages of dry cylinder liner are that it is not easy to leak water and air, the rigidity of the cylinder structure is large, the distance between the cylinder centers is small, and the weight of the machine is light.
