Corrosion of Outer Wall of 4JB1 Cylinder Liner
1. The corrosion and cavitation of the outer wall of the cylinder liner are mainly caused by chemical action, telephone action, impact action of liquid and mechanical vibration. One of the more serious ones is the cavitation phenomenon of the honeycomb-shaped small hole group that appears on the piston pressure bearing surface of the cylinder liner or the outer wall opposite to it. Over the past few years, with the development of internal combustion engines to high speed and high average pressure, the phenomenon of cavitation has become increasingly serious. Sometimes the wear of the cylinder mirror surface has not reached the wear limit, and the cylinder liner has been broken down by cavitation and cannot be used.
2. As a result of high-frequency vibration, the cooling water on the outer wall of the cylinder liner and the cylinder liner continue to split and collide. Once the cooling water is separated from the cylinder liner, a partial vacuum will be formed, and then the air dissolved in the cooling water will be precipitated, and At the same time, the cooling water is also easy to evaporate under low pressure to form bubbles, which adhere to the outer wall of the cylinder liner. When the cooling water returns, these air bubbles are squeezed into tiny pinholes in the outer wall of the cylinder liner.
